escapes whenever you're feeling down and deprived. Things could be a heck of a

Previous Stress Tip Change your thinking patterns. Ingrained
negative thoughts and stock reactions often perpetuate the cycle of stress and
anxiety. They sabotage any chance at peace and enjoyment. Example: you react with
fear every time a new project is assigned to you -- even though you're competent
and successful! Or you treat like a calamity even the tiniest mishap or delay.
Or take what's merely a helpful suggestion as a stinging criticism. First, listen
to what you're thinking at these moments. Then consciously dispute any unwarranted
reaction or overreaction. Notice how these incidents don't amount to anything
when they happen to others. So why let them bedevil you? A lot of unjustified
reactions are carryovers from childhood. They have no logical place in your life
today. You have to identify and dismantle them over time. Why make yourself crazy?
