Stress Tip..by
G. Gaynor McTigue..FRI.03/18/05 Life is a bakery. There
are so many tempting things to taste, you wish you could try them all. If you
did this at the bakery, of course, you'd soon be sick to your stomach. Yet in
life we often exhibit no such restraint, grabbing and devouring everything in
sight. The stress that ensues is the stomachache of our indulgence. And in our
surfeited, half-crazed state, we barely enjoy what we're doing anyway, pinballing
from one thing to the next, not even knowing exactly why. Life is sweet. Savor
each of its offerings unhurriedly, in its own time, in its own way, in the manner
it was meant to be enjoyed. Why rush? Like the baker's, there will always be something
new to try, always plenty of treats in store. Why make yourself crazy? Make StressHoliday.com your home page and be greeted each weekday morning with a new stress-reducing strategy! Based
on G. Gaynor McTigue's acclaimed book Why Make Yourself Crazy? featured
in major publications and on talk shows across America.
Don't let stress play havoc with your memory. And
well it might. When you're constantly stressed, you can't remember much of anything.
You forget the simplest things, like names and phone numbers (even your own!).
Think how impossible it is to find something when you're rushing out the door.
Or recall a computer procedure when you're under the gun. Here's a temporary fix.
Take a deep breath and relax to unclutter your mind. Even take your mind off it
for a moment (like not looking directly at an object to see it better in the dark).
It'll come to you. But that's not the answer. Losing the stress is. If you want
to improve your memory...simply remember to keep applying these stress-reducing
strategies. Why make yourself crazy?
